Energizing the World, Bettering People's Lives®

Noble Energy’s diverse, high-quality portfolio spans three continents and consists of both U.S. unconventional and global offshore conventional assets. Each asset fills an important role in a portfolio that balances lower-risk development projects with high-potential exploration activities and delivers our purpose: Energizing the World, Bettering People's Lives.

Our U.S. onshore assets deliver consistent and predictable results. In the DJ Basin, we have a legacy of resource development and continue to focus on improving operating efficiencies, lowering costs and minimizing footprint. Noble Energy enhanced its onshore U.S. position in 2011 by acquiring Marcellus Shale properties in southwest Pennsylvania and northwest West Virginia, which provide significant exposure to the core onshore U.S. natural gas play. On July 20, 2015, Noble Energy further expanded its onshore operations to the Eagle Ford Shale and Permian Basin through the acquisition of Rosetta Resources. The acquisition of Clayton Williams Energy – expected to close in the first half of 2017 – increases our exposure to high margin liquids production with net unrisked resources of 2 billion barrels of oil equivalent in the Delaware Basin and 460 million barrels of oil equivalent in the Eagle Ford. This further diversifies Noble Energy’s portfolio and provides opportunity for application of best practices across our onshore operations.

Offshore, in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico, our Big Bend and Dantzler fields began producing at the end of 2015 and first production commenced at our Gunflint oil development in July 2016. These successes add to our track record of major project delivery and are substantially increasing our Gulf of Mexico production in 2016. With key positions offshore Equatorial Guinea and the Eastern Mediterranean (Israel and Cyprus) our international business provides long-lived production in basins with significant running-room.

Our exploration program has delivered a significant lineup of major development projects over the last few years, as we appraised and developed the substantial resources discovered in our core areas. In recent years, we have brought multiple major projects online: Tamar (Israel), Alen and Aseng (Equatorial Guinea), Big Bend, Dantzler and Gunflint (GOM) and the Wells Ranch Central Processing Facility (DJ Basin).
